Stop syncing my SharePoint library with OneDrive desktop application, and remove all local copies

Question

I have synced some document libraries with OneDrive desktop application:-

now i want to stop the sync and remove all local copies, but i do not want the online files to be affected..

I find this way, but not sure if it is the correct way:-

1) right click on the OneDrvive icon inside my windows tray area >> click on settings >> then under "Account" tab >> click on "stop sync" for the intended library/s:-

2) After the unlink >> to delete all the files from my local PC and recycle bin.

are the above 2 steps valid?

1.The online files in libraries will not be affected after you cancel the synchronization and delete the local copies.
2. You did the right operation to set the OneDrive.
By the way, OneDrive will automatically remove the online files after canceling the synchronization and remain the locally available files, so if your synced files are all online, your operation to delete the local copies is unnecessary.

Per my test, synchronizing:

After canceling the sync, only the local files are left, and the online files in the folder are also removed.
