I have been using applications using Azure Maps for about two years.
The location information obtained from the IoT sensor is received by the IoT Hub and displayed in real time using Web Apps. It's very easy to use.
I live in Ibaraki prefecture, Japan. The map on the back is as accurate as it was two years ago. I want to use a map that shows road information, like google map. Because I want to use this application to display the position of the UAV that flew around the road. Now I am displaying the GPS information received by the smartphone.
The map on the back, the map of a company called tom soft, are there any plans to improve the accuracy in the future?

Hello @Keiichi Ota (太田 敬一) ,

The map provider for Azure Maps is Tomtom and therefore we rely on them for coverage. See https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/azure-maps/geocoding-coverage. If you do need a more detailed map, you can try Microsoft.com/maps but it is not available through Azure but you can instantiate the Bing Maps web control like this https://samples.bingmapsportal.com/contour-layer/geojson which has more coverage for Japan https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/bingmaps/coverage/geographic-coverage

    Sincerely,
    Iotgirl
