Abnormal bandwidth usage

Question

Last 2 years average bandwidth cost was $3 per day. Since 4th April 2022 we are facing high bandwidth issue for VM and cost is showing $60. Rest of the cost for VM IP and other things is normal.
What could be the cause and remedy for it.

To answer your question it depends on the applications which are running in a VM :

Please try to install and run a perf insights report on the VM , Which will help you gather more information about the usage/spike using:
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/troubleshoot/azure/virtual-machines/performance-diagnostics

The report will give you suggestions as well , Please try to use it and if you are still stuck and are un-sure of next actions , Please do file a support ticket with Azure Support VM team.
