Hello

Version
Office 365 - turned on New Features Coming Soon
New Outlook Version 2023 Build 15028.20160

New feature Quick access to Outlook functions such as email, calendar, tasks, and people, are now displayed vertically to the left of the folder pane.

Org Explorer is new and displays in left of the folder pane.

My manager turned on New Features and likes the Org Explorer app. Now Org Explorer app no longer displays in left of the folder pane. Perhaps it was accidentally removed (select and dragged) off the pane.

I cannot find any documentation on how to add or reset the app pane. Perhaps the new feature does not yet have supporting documentation.

I did the following without success ..

1.Outlook reset the navigation pane.
Windows Run
Outlook.exe /resetnavpane

The results: resets the navigation pane. does not reset the App pane.

  1. Customise the Quick Access Toolbar or Ribbon
Select File Options, menu Customise Ribbon and Quick Access Toolbar. check All Commands and if any new settings related to the App pane.
    The results: no new settings
  2. Logon to Outlook web app to check if any additional settings.
The results: no additional configuration settings are available, and the panes displayed are different.

  1. Turned off and ON Office new features to 'reset'.
The results: the app pane remains with no Org Explorer icon

any ideas?

TIA

    Hi @dd _

    Welcome to our forum!

In order to verify, what type account are you using?
Acccording to my research, the Organization Explorer option is only available to enterprise customers with licenses for Microsoft 365 Business, Microsoft 365 E3, or Microsoft 365 E5.

If you are using the Microsoft 365 hosted account, please check your login information in office via File > Office Account

    Hi @dd _ ,

    Thanks for your reply.

Just to verify, have you checked your login information in office via File > Office Account? not the account you configure on you Outlook profile.

    • If your issue continues, it is recommended that you delete the old profile and create a new profile and see if it works:
In Control Panel, click or double-click Mail.
Choose Show Profiles> Add. In the Profile Name box, type a name for the profile, and then choose OK, add your account to test if the problem is resolved.
    • If this doesn't help, try to repair your office from control panel: Right-click on the Microsoft Office product you want to repair, and select change > Online Repair

    Hi @dd _ ,

My manager accidentally removed the Org Explorer app icon from the pane.

How did he remove it? Based on my test on my outlook client, when right-clicking on it, and choose unpin, it will be removed from the left navigation.

To my surprise, I find it in More Apps, then right-click the Org Explorer and choose pin.
