Autopilot Hybrid Domain Joined Device Wipe from MEM vs. Reset this PC

Good Day!

I have a question concerning Autopilot Hybrid Domain Joined device resets please. I know Microsoft states that only a full wipe of the device is supported for these devices. We select the Wipe option from MEM (making no selections) and the device resets and the enrolled object is removed as expected. The device can be provisioned again.

QUESTION: Is there a difference in following these steps vs. starting with a local PC reset, using Reset this PC (Removing everything), and manually deleting the enrolled object from MEM?

Have been digging looking for MS statements on the process but not finding much beyond the statement in the Autopilot Reset document. Testing does not show an adverse impact but wanted to verify if there is indeed a difference please.

Thank you in advance for your help.

@AMDC Thanks for posting in our Q&A.

Based on my understanding, the wipe action contains the reset action. The difference is that the wipe action doesn't require manually deleting the device record on the Intune Portal, but reset this PC does.

    Hope it will help.
