the check box to enable Install updates for other Microsoft products in GPO is not available in some of windows server 2016 and appear at some. would anyone able to help what to do for appearance of that checkbox191696-gpo.jpg191728-gpo-appear-checkbox.jpg

    Thanks for your posting on Q&A.

    What is the OS version which encounter this issue?

    As far as I know, we could download Administrative Templates for 2016 and install it in the missing servers. I found a useful link and I want to share on this forum.

    We could refer to the above link to download the latest Administrative Templates and install it in the missing servers if you want to.

    Also, we could add the registry value to enable the servers to get the updates for other Microsoft products.
    Key Value: IncludeRecommendedUpdates
    Path: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\WindowsUpdate\Auto Update

    Hello,

    "Key Value: IncludeRecommendedUpdates
    Path: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\WindowsUpdate\Auto Update" - This solution is not working for me. I'm creating windows 11 Pro Education 22H2 image and wanted to configure this option inside the windows 11 client image. customer has no AD / GPO sever to push from server level.

    Is there a way to configure locally on the windows 11 client machine and deploy manually ?
