Hello,
I've been trying to find the answer to this issue but so far no luck.

The issue is that using "Configure favorites" policy with the following setting (Example):

[{"toplevel_name":"Company"},{"name":"www.bing.com","url":"https://www.bing.com/"}]

Doesn't add entry to already existing Company folder in the favorites but creates another one next to existing one and then add a bookmark.

Is there possibility to add additional bookmark to already existing folder on the favorites bar in MS Edge ?

Reason of the doings is that we had in the past Internet Explorer policy that used to create such folder now once users starts (for the first time) Microsoft Edge they are able to import their bookmarks - once they do the company folder is in place.
Now we need to add additional favorite bookmark to it.

Please advice how to do it via policy.

Additionally is there possibility to cleanup (previous) bookmarks Company folder via policy ?

I've uploaded an image that may explain the issue a bit better:

    Hi @Smelka, Lukasz ,

As far as I know, there is no group policy that can achieve your needs. What you can do is modify the file corresponding to save your favorites, try navigating to this path %SystemDrive%\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Edge\User Data\Profile 1, you can get this path in Edge by navigating to edge://version in Edge to get the value of Profile path, and modify the bookmarks file under this path finally.

In addition, you can also send feedback to the relevant team on this issue, just press Alt + Shift + I in Microsoft Edge to edit your suggestions and send it. This will also help improve and refine Edge.

    Regards,

    Hello @Smelka, Lukasz

It sounds like a problem with your Windows 10 Sync Settings. If that's the case, I would modify my configuration on both computers to temporarily disable synchronization for Internet Explorer settings:

    1. Press WinKey + I
    2. Select Accounts
    3. On the bottom-left select Sync your settings
    4. Toggle Internet Explorer settings to Off
    5. Once that is done on each machine, trim down the list of favorites on one computer so that it only contains the original bookmarks.
    6. Completely delete the favorites from the other computer.
    7. Turn Internet Explorer synchronization back on for the first machine with your original bookmarks.
    8. After you have verified that everything appears to be working normally on the first computer, turn IE sync back on for the other machine.
If the problem has been alleviated, the second machine should receive one copy of the bookmarks

Hope this helps with your query,

    Hello,
thank you very much for the answer.
There might be possibility that my question was not clear.

I would like to know if there is possibility to do it automatically (without any manual work).

    So:
Is there possibility to add additional bookmark to already existing folder on the favorites bar in MS Edge (via policy) ?
    If not then,
Additionally is there possibility to cleanup specific bookmarks Company folder (via policy) ?
