Greetings Everyone,

I have come across a unique situation that I have not seen or heard from anyone experiencing before. Here is the Scenario.

  1. User is Set up in Windows AD, and is set a temporary password that they must change on initial login.

  1. User puts in initial password, and changes it when prompted to do.

  1. The user is then repeatedly looped through the "The user's password must be changed before signing in".

This happens on a continuous loop with the user not being able to change their password. I can set the users password in AD and the user is able to log on; however, the user cannot otherwise do so. I have checked and researched everything from the Firewall, Group Policies, and every other Change Control since this issue started and have not been able to resolve it.

has anyone seen this happen before? Any Fixes?

Best Regards,

Mike D.

@Gary Reynolds Thanks for reaching back out so quickly!! KB5011551 was 100% the culprit behind this issue and un-installing the update did the trick.

    Best Regards,
