Microsoft Teams Phone - tenant in Austria, user outside of Austria

Hi, we are an Austrian company that currently has one employee working from abroad. We would like him to have the possibility to make phone calls via Teams Phone.
Our tenant would be in Austria. Can we assign our employee an Austrian phone number and can he use a domestic & international calling plan for Austria, even if he is located somewhere else?
Also the country the employee is working from right now does not support calling plans.

Yes, you can. The country/region is based on the location of the user's license in the Microsoft 365 admin center > Active Users and not the billing address listed under the Organization Profile in the Microsoft 365 admin center.
