ado.net entity data model

In visual studio 2019
I am creating a folder called models on data.
Add and I am choosing an ADO.NET Entity Data model.
I am choosing Ef Designer from Database.
I say New Connection, select database, test the connection and say ok
Entity Framework 6.i select x and continue.
After that, I can't choose my a tables. Definitely NOT TICKING
All updates are caried out.
Can you help?

After that, I can't choose my a tables
What do you mean? Can you show what should work?
Lastly, is there a reason for not using Entity Framework Core? Entity Framework 6 is old and .edmx are prone to problems.
