Hello.
I added derived columns to my package to take care of nulls. I don't want to replace the old columns with the new derived columns but I do not want to old columns to show up. How do I remove them from my destination? 
If you select a database table as destination, then always all columns of the destination table are shown; some different behaviour wouldn't make sense.
@Olaf Helper then how do I do it? I need the original columns to make changes, but I want only the new derived columns to show up when I select data from the database.

You're probably thinking of a view based on that table or a query to specify only the columns you need by column name. There is no alternative (as far as I know) to hide a column. https://stackoverflow.com/questions/37263621/hide-a-column-from-table-in-ms-sql-server
