Pearson Exam been cancelled due to case ID issue

Hi support:

I scheduled the MS700 exam on 13 Apr, during the registration process, the support canceled my exam because of an ID issue. Pearson Case no: 07830776. I checked my Microsoft account it showed Jonathan Li Wai Hung Li, and my Pearson account showed Jonathan WH Li, and I showed them my HK ID showing LI WAI HUNG. You can see the it matched with Microsoft ID but finally they cancelled my exam. Can you tell them it's match and give me back my exam? I need someone to help pls.

Afterward, I tried to change it again in Microsoft Learn which is ok shown "LI WAI HUNG" , but when scheduling the exam via Pearson the legal name still shows the old name.

I am sure this is an synchronization problem between 2 systems.

Hi Johnathan, can you clarify who cancelled your exam?
I think it may be helpful to consider that Pearson, Microsoft and the test center might be dismissive if they feel they're not to blame. If the test center had nothing to do with it, I doubt they can help likely being a franchisee.

Hi Louis, during the check-in, the support conversation dialog popped up from the app by Pearson. He said there is ID issue, keep asking me do I have ID show my name. I explained couple of times to him about culture differences on Chinese and English name in HK. Finally he raised a support ticket and provided me the case number. After few minutes, the check-in website refreshed said the exam in closed.

I don't know who has my money now, and I don't have any support from Pearson. They asked me to find Microsoft to ask for exam voucher to re-schedule the exam.

Rather than talk about that company here, I can only be of any help by letting you know there's a support forum moderated by MCTs, and I think they are your best source of advice on how to handle it.

If you paid with a credit card, they don't punish or report you for getting a reimbursement in situations like this, where anyone would feel it's the very least one deserves out of this.

Also, their pinned posts ask you don't share anything personal... so no names or support ticket numbers will probably be appreciated there.
