SharePoint Online - can't move folders anymore to certain sites?

Question

In the last month or so, I noticed the UI for moving/copying folders from one site to another had changed. I can no longer search for certain sites. I tried to circumvent this by making sure I'm "following" all sites I need to move folders between, but even that prevents me from seeing some of the sites I need.

How does one go about searching for sites that don't pop up on the "recents" and "following" lists?

You can type the SharePoint site's name in the "Search in SharePoint" box to search site.

If you can't search these sites, please perform the following troubleshooting:

1.Make sure these sites still exist, you can contact the Global Administrator to check

2.Make sure you have permission to the site. For example, you cannot access this site, then this site will not be searched.

I am still having this issue with followed sites not appearing to select when trying to use Move To option.

Has anyone found a solution yet?
