Multiple "Just me" chats are in my Teams, not sure why or how to get rid of them

I don't know why these empty Just me chat instances are in my Teams chat panel. I have over a dozen of these. When I hide I continue to get more. Not finding anything helpful on line telling me what is causing this.

Thank you for any help you can provide.

    Hi @John Mahar ,

I don't know why these empty Just me chat instances are in my Teams chat panel.

Based on my experience, "Just me" chat instances usually occur when the other one in the conversation leaves the organization and his/her user account is removed. But noticed that in your case these instances are "empty", which per my understanding means there are no others involved and the chat history is totally blank, right?
Is this a recently occurred issue?
Have you heard it reported by other users in your organization?

Please make sure Teams has been updated to the latest build. To do this, you can go to the ellipsis (...) menu next to the profile picture and select Check for updates. Besides, it's suggested to try checking Teams web client via https://teams.microsoft.com as well and see how it goes there.

I too am now seeing this issue come up. Just randomly happening. I now have 3 users in Teams with "Just Me" showing in the listing as opposed to their names. None of these were calls on Teams, just chats.

If and when I select the chat conversation, their name appears in the chat, but still shows "Just Me" in the listing.

It's been over a year now MS. You've pushed out numerous updates in that time, yet nothing for this?
