Restoring Deleted Attachments

Our team has been utilizing the history on cards to recover deleted attachments as a version history. I found where the ability to download deleted attachments has been removed. Is there a way to still recover deleted attachments as we sometimes need to revert to the previous document we used and/or refer to the previous document?
