Office 2016 and Office 365 compatibility (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)

Are Word, Excel and Powerpoint documents made using Office 2016 applications compatible with Office 365? I have documents that were created using Office 2016 applications, and now I want to install Office 365 on my personal laptop.

    Yes, all the Office Docs (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) created with Office Professional Plus 2016 are fully compatible with Microsoft 365. However, you need to uninstall Office2016 in order to install/use O365.

    Generally, there will be no compatibility issues, but you don't have both Office365 and Office2016 installed on your PC at the same time.You can refer to gaurav0327's answer.
