Automatically marking a copied email as read

So I set up a new folder/rule that copies any email I send to this folder. Problem is, they are always unread, but I would like them to be automatically marked as read. Is there a way to do this?

    I'm sorry my suggesiton does not apply to your situation.

    In this case, it is recommended you create a Quick Step which moves the message to that folder and mark it as read:

    In the Quick Steps group, in the Quick Steps gallery, select the Create New Quick Step.

    In the Name box, type a name for the new Quick Step.

    Under Actions, choose an action that you want the Quick Step to do. Select Add Action for any additional actions.

    To create a keyboard shortcut, in the Shortcut key box, select the keyboard shortcut that you want to assign.

    Welcome to ur forum!

    From you description, do you want to automatically mark as read for the specific folder?
    If in this case, you can modify the rule you have already created:
    Go to File > Info > Rules and Alerts
    Double click the rule that you have created > add to that rule the action called: mark it as read

    When you modified the rule, select this rule and click Run rules now.
