Install Exchange Server 2019 CU11 Error

Dear All,

I'm trying to setup an exchange server 2019 CU11 to coexist with Exchange Server 2013 CU23.

• Domain Functional 2016
• Already prepareAD and PrepareSchema

Exchange Server 2019 CU11 will install on Windows Server 2019. It get below error:

According to your the error information you shared above, Cannot start service MSExchangeIS on computer.

You could try the method introduced in this article here: Attempting to install Exchange Server 2019 to Cumulative Update 7 fails with: “Cannot start service MSExchangeIS on computer”

It suggested that we chronically change any Microsoft Exchange services set to disabled to automatic with the following PowerShell command:

Thank you so much for your advice.

Yes, I already tried to run the command in Windows Powershell but the Microsoft Exchange Information Store still CAN'T started.

Do you have something that I can try?

The problem occurs when “ Microsoft Exchange Information Store ” service is set to “ Disabled ” at the beginning of the CU installation. To fix the issue:

• Open PowerShell window as an administrator and then start the monitoring process using following command: Get-service MSExchangeIS
• run the “Setup.exe” and continue the installation
• After that installation now continue without any problem & will be completed.
• Now “Microsoft Exchange Information Store” service should now be running again without any issue.
