You can try to change this value (I do it for 8192) but it might not be supported officially
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\SMS\DP
RamDiskTFTPBlockSize
REG_DWORD
16384

I'm trying to get SCCM's OSD working with Hyper-V clients. PXE works just fine from other systems but this is slow from the start. If I boot up a VM and test speed it is fast.
This is slow at the beginning when downloading the boot.wim file. I don't think drivers added to SCCM would fix anything at this part.
I've been searching for days now and can't find what I could modify to get PXE working better.
PS
Holy crap please someone fix the the tagging. It really is terrible.

How about if you forget about VM and try it on a physical machine? Other way is to change between Gen1 and Gen2, add second vCpu to it.
Hi, @ComputerHabit
Thank you for posting in Microsoft Q&A forum.
Agree with you, it should not related to drivers.
It may related to the OS that host the hyper-v, have we tried to test it with other OS that host hyper-v?

PXE is slow. I don't know why. After the hour it takes to download it works fine.
I'm remote so I'm waiting for some test results from local staff but I'm pretty sure it's just Hyper-V being slow.
