Hi.

Good day to all.

We have an AD group which we link to SCCM collection via query. All computers membered to the said AD group is reflected in SCCM collection except for 1 computer. that computer has an active SCCM Agent installed, discovered fine in SCCM Console, but by unknown reason, its the only one not added to the queried collection.

Hope someone can explain or maybe have already experienced this, what could be the reason and a fix for this..

Thanks in advance.

    Hi,

Thanks for posting in Microsoft MECM Q&A forum.

A similar thread for your reference: SCCM Collection based on AD group having inconsistent results

If the device does NOT have CM client on it, it will be populated by AD Group discovery or AD system discovery.
If the device HAS CM client on it, it will be populated by Heartbeat discovery. AND the device need to know that it belongs to the group (aka logon (reboot)).

Please restart the problematic computer and check the InventoryAgent.log and InventoryProvider.log on the computer. And we can monitor the adsgdis.log and adsysdis.log on the site server.

Hope it helps. Have a nice day!

    Best regards,
    Simon

Check the heartbeat discovery for that computer.

    Hi NicxNoob-0085,

As it's appearing in SCCM but not in the queried collection, please check that it's not being filtered out by a limiting collection. The limiting collection establishes the resources you can add to the custom collection using membership rules. In other words, the collection you’re creating will contain only members from the limiting collection. So it could be excluded from your query because of a Limiting Collection.

Here are best practices for collections in SCCM:
