Push VPP app via Intune to managed iOS device which is using a profile without User Affinity

Hi all,

lately I've been experimenting with Apple Business Manager, MDM and Intune. I managed to setup the ABM, setup the MDM server via Intune, made some configuration profiles, ...

So far so good. But now I encountered following issue:

when deploying an iOS device based on a configuration profile without User Affinity it is recommended not to install the Intune Company Portal app. This is logic because someone should log in on this app.

But how can I push an app to such a device? Normally you need the intune company portal app to see the distributed apps. App Store is not working with a business login because ABM logins are not allowed to use the app store.

Any feedback is highly appreciated.

Kind regards,

Kenneth De Vos

@Kenneth De Vos , We can deploy the VPP as Required which doesn't need company portal to install and assign it to device group to make it works Here is a link with more details for the reference:
    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-gb/mem/intune/apps/vpp-apps-ios#assign-a-volume-purchased-app

    Hope it can help.
