About MYSQL Files

Can I recover my MYSQL data using Other PC without backup save? but I have the folder files of MYSQL. Scenario is My Computer can't start up, and the OS is busted what I did is get a new hard drive and boot a OS on it and I setup my old drive(with the MYSQL) and my files are safe in the old drives. I want to retrieve the mysql data in the old drive. can i run the app with the new drive and OS?

    Hi, @Mumay Welcome to Microsoft Q&A Thanks for posting your query.
    If this is MySQL on Windows, I am not 100% sure about this.
    If it is Linux, data files act as cold backup and configuration (my.cnf) / MySQL version and installation of the new server has to be same as previous VM/PC with modification to datadir and valid permissions on the directory.
