Good morning everyone,

I have a problem with my MSI Pulse GL76, i7-11800H, 32Gb of RAM, 2x1Tb M.2 Samsung Evo and Toshiba, Windows 11 Pro.

The problem lies in the integrity of the memory, which does not turn off. It was the only function that if disabled allowed me to work correctly with my VMs.

I have already tried to format it twice, first installation from USB with ISO downloaded and written to USB by media creation tool, second formatting from settings, restore, download from the cloud without keeping files and apps.

I found various guides on the internet, because my main purpose is to have VMware Player with virtual machines for my personal tests. I found various solutions to the drop in performance:

add "ulm.disableMitigations =" ​​TRUE "" to the .vmx of the virtual machine so that there is no active mitigation (it seems that the string does nothing, the VM starts with epochal times).

disable Hyper-V completely with "bcdedit / set hypervisorlaunchtype off" or with "dism.exe / Online / Disable-Feature / FeatureName: Microsoft-Hyper-V-All" (nothing happens except I am told that the services are disabled )

-in gpedit.msc in computer configuration> administrative templates> system> device guard disable the two entries (like not having done it, nothing happens)

in regedit to the key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SYSTEM \ CurrentControlSet \ Control \ DeviceGuard \ Scenarios \ CredentialGuard set the DWORD key "Enabled" with 0 to disable (nothing happens, memory integrity is always active)

enabled the administrator account to try with elevated rights to disable memory integrity "(even if the operation for the UAC must be performed with elevated rights)

naturally at each test I RESTART the pc, quick start from the control panel, energy saving options are disabled, at each restart the integrity of the memory is re-enabled by itself

After all these tests I thought it was the BIOS, updated to the latest release from the official website, which dates back to January 2022, and reset the default values ​​in the same.

After all these tests, two weeks ago if I deactivated the integrity of the system, I could work and test my virtual machines, now not being able to deactivate it, I can no longer use my pc for this purpose. (I also tried Virtual Box but it has biblical times compared to VMware, which remains very slow).

ho un problema con il mio MSI Pulse GL76, i7-11800H, 32Gb di RAM, 2x1Tb M.2 Samsung Evo e Toshiba, Windows 11 Pro.
Il problema sta nell'intergrità della memoria, che non si disattiva. Era l'unica funzione che se disattivata mi permetteva di lavorare correttamente con le mie VM.
Ho già provato a formattarlo due volte, prima installazione da USB con Iso scaricata e scritta nell'usb da media creation tool, la seconda formattazione da impostazioni, ripristino, scarica dal cloud senza mantenere file e app.
Ho trovato varie guide su internet, perchè il mio scopo principale è quello di avere VMware Player con delle macchine virtuali per mie prove personali. Al calo delle prestazioni ho trovato varie soluzioni:

  • aggiungi "ulm.disableMitigations = "TRUE" " al .vmx della macchina virtuale cosicchè non ci sia la mitigation attiva (sembra che la stringa non faccia nulla, la VM parte con tempi epocali).
  • disabilita Hyper-V completamente con "bcdedit /set hypervisorlaunchtype off" oppure con "dism.exe /Online /Disable-Feature /FeatureName:Microsoft-Hyper-V-All" (non succede niente tranne che mi viene detto che i servizi sono disabilitati)
    -in gpedit.msc in configurazione computer > modelli amministrativi > sistema > device guard disabilita le due voci (come non averlo fatto, non succede niente)
  • in regedit alla chiave HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\DeviceGuard\Scenarios\CredentialGuard imposta la chiave DWORD "Enabled" con lo 0 per disattivare (non succede niente, rimane sempre attivo integrità della memoria)
  • abilitato l'account administrator per provare con diritti elevati a disattivare l'integrità della memoria" (anche se l'operazione per lo UAC deve essere eseguita con diritti elevati)
  • naturalmente ad ogni prova RIAVVIAVO il pc, l'avvio rapido da pannello di controllo, opzioni risparmio energia è disabilitato, ad ogni riavvio l'integrità della memoria si riabilita da sola
    Fatto tutte queste prove ho pensato fosse il BIOS, aggiornato all'ultima release dal sito ufficiale, che risale a gennaio 2022, e reimpostati i valori di default nello stesso.
    Dopo tutte queste prove, due settimane fa se disattivavo l'integrità del sistema, potevo lavorare e provare le mie macchine virtuali, ora non potendolo disattivare, non posso più usare il mio pc per questo scopo. (Ho provato anche Virtual Box ma ha dei tempi biblici rispetto comunque a VMware, che rimane lentissimo).
