How to set private data in BLE scan response package in UWP application?

As the images shows, there is BLE scan response package, PC complete local name("N80****95") is set in BLE scan response package automatically, but we want to know how to set private data in BLE scan response package in UWP application? or MS supports this or not?

BTW: we checked the BluetoothLEAdvertisement and BluetoothLEAdvertisementPublisher UWP API, there is no entry to set private data in BLE scan response package.

What's the private data you mentioned above? BluetoothLEAdvertisement also contains DataSections property that use to store specific type data, does it meet your requirement?

As you know, the length of advertisement data is 31 bytes in max, if you want to advertise more data, we need set private data in scan response package, then scanner can get more 31 bytes advertisement data.

After I test, Manufacture data and data sections is 31 bytes too in max, it doesn't need meet my requirement, so we need set scan response.

I set datatype as 0x0B, tried other datatype, the advertisement all failed, because the data is all in advertisement package,

we need scan response package to set private data.

I think there is not such private data you mentioned above, you could try to publish encryption data to replace.

I mean you could encrypt data before insert into DataSections, such as use base64 encode. as you know ble is low energy device, so it has limit for advertisement data size, you could publish a key value, and use this key to request value content in client with tcp or other way.

I have to say it has no such method for writing scan response data directly, you need refer ADVERTISING AND SCAN RESPONSE DATA FORMAT to make scan response data manually. And this jayzuo's case link could help.

Scan response data are not directly controllable from the App. If the App wants more space, they can consider enabled extended advertisement (only available on systems that have radios that support this on both sending and receiving sides).
