Migration manager

Hi

I have a quick question about SharePoint Online Migration manager.

Assuming you are doing a migration from a personal share on a fileserver to OneDrive for business, what happens if the user in question is already using OfB and migration. In this case the user would have a file in both the old fileserver location and OfB that have duplicate names. The user has taken this file and manually uploaded it to OfB and from that point in time the file has only been updated in OfB.
But what happens now and how does migration manager handle this? My concern is that migration manager will match these to files on the name and then overwrite the OfB file with a new version, so that the old version will actually be the new current version, which is not exactly an attractive situation if you have thousands of users.

Does anyone know anything about this particular scenario?

UPDATE!
I was able to test this myself and the Migration manager will in this scenario in fact overwrite the file in Onedrive and replace it with the file located in the users personal share, so this is something admin running migration should be aware of.

    @MBL

    Yes, by default, migration manager will overwrite the file in the Onedrive and replace it with the file located in the user personal share.
