I have an issue one of my users mailbox. When i open the affected mailbox i get this error below:

Warning The object **object path** has been corrupted or isn't compatible with Microsoft support requirements, and it's in an inconsistent state. The following validation errors happened:

Database is mandatory on UserMailbox.

I'm running exchange server 2016. I dont know what happened, what can i do to restore the mailbox of this user.`

Currently the user is disconnected from owa and outlook.

I read this article, and found out that the user homeMDB attribute is not set, the article only explains how to get rid of the error but not restore the mailbox data. How can resolve the issue by restoring the mailbox data.

Hi @Benard Mwanza

To fix this issue, you may need to enter the correct value for homeMDB (the database which hosts the user mailbox).
Otherwise it would create an empty mailbox.

If you have backup, please have a check which database hosts this mailbox.
