in Azure SQL Managed Instance do we get sql server or we have to purchase and install it

I am using aws rds where we get a sql server we have to just restore our database and we are good to go.
pls tell me the the Azure SQL Managed Instance also works same for the above case.

I am not totally sure that I get your question correctly. Azure SQL Managed Instance is an SQL Server service, therefore you do not need to install anything if you created this service and it is active.

I have a feeling that you are asking about the license. If this is the case, then the service include the license by default. You can configure this option and use a license which you bring. To do it follow this

(1) When you create the service click on the option "Configure Managed Instance"

(2) Here you have an option for the Azure Hybrid Benefit. If you want to use your license then click on "I already have a SQL Server License."

Once you click this, then you can notice that the price reduce since you bring your license to the service
