According to the your above description, it seems that you are tried to run the PowerShell script to detect whether the SSD is the first drive. I suspect that the issue is due to device failed to detect the PowerShell script in PE. I found a related blog and I want to share with you:

Please try to add the three features in Windows PE:
PowerShell 3.0
Net Framework 4.0
MDAC/ADO can be included as well

Don't forget to update the deployment share before trying to run the Task Sequence in the clients again.
