#1326 when installing a network printer

Question

I recently installed a KMB C360i printer on our network. The printer is installed on a virtual server running windows server 2016. I logged in as an administrator to install the printer. The printer is shared and all access codes are set. I can send documents to the printer from the print server.

When trying to install the printer on a W10 device that is on our domain, and logged on as the user, I get message #1326. We have other KMB printers installed. I can log in as the user account, add the printer, enter my admin credentials and install the printer. I do not get the #1362 message when logged on as a domain user that is not an administrator account.

I'm not finding a lot of information for this scenario. I would like to be able to select the new printer using the user account, enter my admin credentials and install the printer. Any feedback and guidance is appreciated.

Hi there,

Error 1326 means "Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password." This error is raised because the IIS Service does not have any rights to use the named pipe.

Assure that no firewall port is blocked according to http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd772723(WS.10).aspx
