While installing wsl on the device with OS -[ Windows 11 21H2 (OS BUILD 22000.613) ].
I faced following error

"Installing, this may take a few minutes...
WslRegisterDistribution failed with error: 0x800701bc
Error: 0x800701bc WSL 2 requires an update to its kernel component. For information please visit https://aka.ms/wsl2kernel "

This error was resolved by running the wsl_update_x64.msi file. But as per documentation this should not be required for Windows 10 version 2004 and higher (Build 19041 and higher).
so is there any issue in "wsl --install"

    Hi SharmaShubhamGEHealthcare-4910,

I agree that the implication in the documentation is that Windows 11 is immune from this issue. However, I have found on a couple of Windows 11 machines, that this update package was necessary in order for WSL to install correctly.

I'm sure this will be resolved in a future update of the WSL installation, but for now, you have completed the correct fix for the stated error.
