Windows Defender freezes upon opening

This happens whenever I search up Windows Defender. I have no access to any functions and the settings app itself freezes after entering the defender section. I've tried looking for solutions on Youtube but no luck. I even tried reinstalling windows itself but nothing seems to work. If it isn't obvious from the screenshot Windows 11 is the operating system. If someone has a solution please help!
