Unable to add custom domain used in another O365 tenant, Force takeover failed

I've recent been trying to add a custom domain (joshuanoakes.co.uk) to an Azure Active Directory and I've been unable to because the domain is used within another O365 tenant, I don't know the login or any way to contact the owner of the other O365 tenant so I've tried to do a PowerShell Force takeover but that failing with "Confirm-MsolDomain : Unable to verify this domain because it is used elsewhere in Office 365. Remove the verified domain from the other service before adding it here.". Guides online recommend asking here to see if anyone can help.

    Hello @Joshua Noakes ,

    Thanks for reaching out.

I could see that following domain name joshuanoakes.co.uk has already verified in the different tenant hence force take over doesn't help in this scenario.

Therefore, you need to remove the domain from that tenant before verifying it in your tenant. I had shared the technical notification contact details of that tenant in Private message. In case, if you unsure of that email address, I'd recommend you reaching out to MS support via their customer service number for your country/region or through an Azure support request,

    Hope this helps.
