I get this:

We're sorry, but xxx@Stuff .com can't be found in the xxxxx-my.sharepoint.com directory. Please try again later, while we try to automatically fix this for you.

I have been set up several times in this directory...I will have access initially...then I will get the message....soooo frustrating!!

Can you help?

    Hi @Dave Brouse ,

Please make sure you have permission on this shared folder.

Then browser to the site collection you should have access, edit the URL by adding the following string to the end of the URL:

    _layouts/15/people.aspx/membershipGroupId=0

For example, the full URL will resemble the following:

    https://<contoso>.sharepoint.com/sites/xxx/_layouts/15/people.aspx/membershipGroupId=0

Remove the user permission and re-invite the user, then compare the result.

One of the many reasons why people like me prefer Google over M.S. How hard is it to display "You don't have access to this content/file. Ask the administrator to give you access" than whatever sh#*t error is displayed here.? And even when you have access, you have to use a private browser to access it. No such sh#*t with Google Drive, and that's why it's the king.
