Hyper V mouse dragging behaviour

Hi all,

I just installed my music make software on a VM in Hyper V. The software has many of these 'circular buttons' when you press it an drag down e.g. the volume goes down. Normally when using the software (not in VM) after clicking the button and dragging down, the mouse remains on the button. This allows me to quickly click and drag again for refinement. However in the VM the mouse is either above or below the button after clicking and dragging and doesn't remain on the button. It looks like it the mouse input is not well integrated with the software in the VM. Does anyone have a solution for this?
