Is there a replacement or update for Azure IoT Central Device Bridge?

I see that Azure IoT Central Device Bridge hasnt been updated in a couple of years. Is it replaced by another technology?

AFAIK, there is no replacement. It is still available. please see Use the IoT Central device bridge to connect other IoT clouds to IoT Central

Are you trying something with Azure IoT Central Device Bridge and blocked? Do let us know if that is the case.

No my concern is that it hasnt been updated in over 2 years.

Hello @Michael Lenart ,

although the bridge GitHub repo is not updated for a long period, the solution is still sound and well.

The solution is great for one-way ingesting telemetry from all sorts of third-party platforms. You can connect to whatever you want, the code is open-source and the ingest format is still supported by the latest IoT Central versions.

That said, there is another bridge available on GitHub too. This one supports two-way communication. This one is recently updated. Please check out the readme for more details.

Hello @Michael Lenart ,

If you mean the second bridge, this one is based on REST API too.

If you want to work with MQTT, I suggest deploying an MQTT broker somewhere and creating a 'bridge' app that runs as a stateful app in Azure.

This can be done using an Azure WebJob. This (old) example I once used was written in C#. It's still supported for running background tasks in Azure Application service plans.
