Convert Equations to Vector/EPS or (high res) PNG

Question

Hi,

Many of our clients use Word to create content a large part of this content consists of equations.
However, these equations are in a format that cannot be exported / imported in other applications.

We design the content of our clients in InDesign.
In order to do so properly we need to convert .docx files to .doc.
When converting .docx to .doc, Word converts the equations to a very bad quality (with strange outlines).
This bad quality cannot be properly used nor printed.

What we need a method / tool to convert all equations in a document to Vector/EPS or (high res) PNG.
We are using both Mac and Windows.

Looking forward to some solution.

Maybe you can also try to save documents as Web page (.html).
The the images will appear in PNG format in a folder next to the Web page, called XXX_Files. Then you may check the quality of these images.
