SSMS Object Explorer Details right-click context menu not showing

I'm running SSMS for SQL Server 2014. Have been doing so for many years. I'm finding recently that when showing the Object Explorer Details window for something selected in the Object Explorer (to the left), when I right-click on any one of the items (on the right) or on a selected group of items (on the right), the context menu NO LONGER DISPLAYS showing the usual list of things that can be done.

For example, I used to select the indexes in place for a table but clicking on the 'Indexes' node under a table, then pressing F7 to show the list on the right hand Object Explorers Detail pane. I'd then select one or more indexes, right-click and select "Script Indexes" to have SSMS script out the selected indexes to a new window. Now, the context menu does NOT display at all.

I suspect there is some setting somewhere that tells SSMS to not display that window? Or is there some other place I can look? Any ideas?

I rarely use the Object Explorer details, so I cannot help on that part. But generally, I recommend that you download and install the most recent version of SSMS, which you find here:

SSMS 2014 is quite old by now.

    Hi,

Please try to repair SQL Server Management Studio.

And It is always recommended to install the latest service pack and cumulative update for your SQL Server 2014 instances.
