Edit Grid View is visible but not allowing to copy paste in SharePoint Online

Till yesterday I was able to copy paste items in SharePoint Online using Edit Grid View option from top ribbon but today its not allowing to paste. I changed mandatory columns to non mandatory to confirm then I am able to paste however few fields are missing data inspite of successful paste

Whether this issue occurs in all lists or only one list?

Please go to list validation and column condition formula to check whether has settings for columns.

Try to use another account and browser to copy and paste items, compare the result.

And you could clear browser cache then have a test.

Hello. I have this issue as well. On every library across my tenant. (not lists that I can tell) If I edit in grid view - any text field will not allow CTRL V or right click paste - it appears as an option, but nothing gets pasted. This started for us just this morning.

This means I cannot paste a link in one text column I have for links, I cannot paste the name of the document, anywhere there is a text single or multi line - I cannot paste.

Oddly - I can paste into the managed metadata, person or group, and a document date field I have *although cannot save as a pasted link or text is not allowed there. But it at least pastes in those fields.

I have tried clearing my cache, and tried in a different browser, I've tried logged in as the sharepoint global admin, or as a standard user. I have also reindexed the site and waited 4 hours, and cleared my cache before trying again. This is extremely frustrating.

Ok, i was getting nuts already. I thought that there's an issue with our Sharepoint environment. Seems to be a general problem since yesterday also

So I did discover this: Make sure there is no cursor in the cell, but have the cell selected and then paste... I have no idea why this works - but it's very frustrating to try and do. I have a feeling this is based on an Edge and Chrome update, and SharePoint/Microsoft needs to ammend something to match the change. Still very frustrating, the workaround is slowing us down still.
