Difficulty enabling shared disk

When I enabled the shared disk during "Create and attach New Disk" I find that though I can select the shared disk and set the number of shares when the disk is create it is not shared (I am pretty sure I have seen this work correctly but now doubt myself). If I then unattach the disk from the VM and go to the resource group, disk, configuration it shows the disk not shared. If I select Yes I see the max shares prompt flash and then No is set. If I try this multiple times eventually the Yes will stay set and I can set the max shares to what I want and save (well, sometimes the save it not highlighted either and I have to try again). I see this on both google chrome and Microsoft Edge.

I still see the same behavior on both using both Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge web browsers.
