explorer.exe using high CPU in server 2022 standard edition

Hello Team,

We are using Windows Server 2022 standard Edition, its working great but in 5 user explorer.exe using too much cpu like 90% and also faced problem in task bar hang. we are using visual studio 2022 in server 2022. but in windows server 2019 same VS 2022 running but it is running smoothly with 15 users and same configuration is not working in windows server 2022. so can you please solve this issue what is reason behind it.

Server Configuration:

Intel Xeon Gold 5218R CPU

256 Gb RAM

Windows for business | Windows Client for IT Pros | User experience | Remote desktop services and terminal services

    Thank you for your question and reaching out.
    I can understand you are having some issues with Windows 2022 of Freezing or Hang.

    Please note you should use Local Workstation for Development purpose as Visual studios are quite Resource intensive and its not good to use Server Edition to use Visual Studio for Development purpose.

    In your case you can Disable any Antivirus program or Windows firewall you may have for temporary purpose.

    If you have installed SQL on this Server 2022 then you can Limit its Memory.

    You can also use processor to find out which sub processes or thread using high CPU.
