How does one change (not turn on or off) the particular ringtone for the sound notification? Thank you.

I can't find any information on changing this. My Authenticator notification sound is like all the rest and I want something unique like the sound the Duo Authenticator uses. thanks!

    Figured this out by accident, after finding only this unanswered question while Googling. These steps worked on my Galaxy S20+ running Android 12. YMMV on other devices and/or Android versions.

    1. Push and hold on the (Microsoft) Authenitcator App icon.
    2. Tap the info circle in the top right corner of the popup.
    3. Tap notifications.
    4. Tap Notification Categories.
    5. Tap All notificaitons (not on the slide to togge on/off, just tap on the text).
    6. Tap Sound and pick the notification sound you want.

    At first I thought this changed the default noise for all notifications, but it appears to have only changed the sound for the Microsoft Authenticator app.

    @ksco THANK YOU!!!!

    Same issue here: it's too easy to ignore the sound when it's used for so many other things. I'm going to separate out e-mail from news updates and other alerts the same way. Sincerely appreciated!
