Windows Server 2012 R2 also facing issue on 8-May-22. The solution that gave is last year. The issue has persist while updating Dynamic DNS information.

server 2016 essentials wont update ddns. repair fails, release domain name fails.
"dynamic dns cannot be updated. An error occurred while updating the dynamic dns information that you gave your domain name service provider"

Gegg-8342 21 Reputation points2022-05-11T06:42:42.473+00:00 We now have two customers, one running Server Essentials 2012R2 and one running 2016 Essentials who have this issue. Both customers WAN IP's have recently changed and their remotewebaccess.com domains will not update to reflect the change.
We cannot repair or release the domains due to errors.

2022-05-08T11:47:32.567+00:00 Last year that fix worked. it seems to edit the registry to resolve the issue after a .net update. Currently it seems to be a different issue but is creating the same problem of not being able to contact the remotewebaccess.com site to update or even release the domain name.
