Microsoft Authenticator app doesn't prompt for auth code

Since this morning I can’t seem to use Microsoft Authenticator to log into my company resources. The site says to enter X code in the Authenticator app, the app has a notification for auth but when the app opens no dialog box to put in the code happens. And if I try to use pasword log in instead I get an error about the “service being down”.
