Profile reset itself

Hi, I need some help. We use Windows10 in our Company and we have a problem with some users, their profile resets itself. They are not logged in with a temporary account, I already checked in the Regedit and Users folder.

Hi Mitalex11,

If your user's profiles are resetting themselves, I would suggest that there is a corruption in their underlying profile. I suggest a purge of the problem profiles so that the profiles can be recreated fresh and hopefully have no further issues.

Please follow this process in order to remove the profiles:

1) Click Start, right-click My Computer, and then click Properties.

1. In this System Properties dialog box, click the Advanced tab.
2. Under User Profiles, click Settings.
3. Click the user profile that you want to delete, and then click Delete.
4. Check that the profile directory has been deleted fromDocuments and Settings (you may need to delete it manually)

3) Check the registry and delete the key in case the other steps didn't. (Back up the registry first, of course)

1) Click Start, and then click Run.
2) Type regedit, and then click OK.
3) In the Registry Editor, navigate to the following registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList
4) Locate your user profile folder.

NOTE: When you open the ProfileList folder, you will see several folders, each of which belongs to a different user. These folders are named according to the user security IDs (SIDs) and not according to the user names.

To locate your user profile folder, use one of the following options:

4) For each folder, click the folder, and then look for the ProfileImagePath value that contains the path to your user profile (such as %SystemDrive%\Documents and Settings\<username>), or
5) In Registry Editor, press CTRL+F to start the Find tool. Type the user name in the Find what" box click to select the Data check box under "Look at" and then click Find.
6) Delete it.
7) Quit the Registry Editor.
