Hi,

Just trying to figure out which applications actually have the 'Sensitivity' option available (as per screenshot) - where can we find a definitive list of these apps please?

I see people often quote this URL - https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/information-protection/rms-client/clientv2-admin-guide-file-types#file-types-supported-for-classification-only - but that only talks about file types...NOT the applications. Also the information on this URL is confusing and at times contradictory (but that's another forum post altogether).

For example, the URL above lists .vsdx as a supported file type for classification, however, when I open MS Visio, there is no 'Sensitivity' option on the ribbon.

So my question therefore is: where can we find a definitive list of applications that have the 'Sensitivity' options available as part of the ribbon/menu item?

Thank you,

    @Shim Kwan

    Thank you for reaching out to us, As far I know Sensitivity option is available for only these office apps ( word/excel/ppt/outlook ). Where as for Visio as you mentioned in your query Visio doesnt get installed with office apps by default, we install it separately/needs a separate license as well.

    I have tested in my lab , sensitivity ribbon is not present in Visio app as there is no AIP add-in is available.

    You can label Visio files (.vsdx ) using the right click option ( classify & protect ) after installing the AIP UL client.

    Let me know if you have any further questions.

    The Sensitivity button is generally only available within the Office apps. Apart from that, there's a set of "enlightened" Microsoft applications that can leverage MIP capabilities: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/security/information-protection/windows-information-protection/enlightened-microsoft-apps-and-wip
