BUG: Windows problems with leading and trailling spaces in directory names
This problem is cross versions, and should be addressed by Microsoft.
We love Windows, we all use it since XP...
I trully bellieve that this should not happen nowadays, if we have a folder in windows named: " 1 " we just can't delete it thru the GUI.
( Just reproduce with: <code>md "\?\D:\ 1 "</code> and try to delete from the gui. )
known workarounds are known like: <code> rd "\?\D:\ 1 " </code> but require shell commands on remote machines.
This is occurring more and more, as we use the Cloud, and APP's that sync filesystems, like Mega, I have allot of work related to solving this types of issues, and It's consumes allot of my troubleshooting time.
Some App's break, and stop working, just due to this limitation, we really need to focus on this.
I'm availlable to chat with you guys (Microsoft developers), as I am a developer myself, for 20+ years.
Cheers.,
