Can ping new DNS server FQDN but not by host name

We have added new DNS server which can be ping DNS server FQDN or IP but not by host name

    Hi there,

    This is DNS suffix problem, make sure You have DNS suffixes on the Client systems.

    Go to the IP4 Properties - click on advanced button at the bottom which will Advanced TCP/IP settings. GO to Append these DNS suffixes click on add and then Add domain.com there. click ok

    It should resolve the problem.

    Is NetBIOS enabled on connection properties?

    On a new DC right? or end user computer? FYI: Only 02 new DCs can't be PING using Host name all existing DCs can be from any user workstation.

    Please run;

    Dcdiag /v /c /d /e /s:%computername% >C:\dcdiag.log
    repadmin /showrepl >C:\repl.txt
    ipconfig /all > C:\dc1.txt
    ipconfig /all > C:\dc2.txt
    ipconfig /all > C:\dc3.txt
    ipconfig /all > C:\problemworkstation.txt

    then put unzipped text files up on [OneDrive][1] and share a link.
