Hi Team

Please assist in getting solution to this problem below

I have recently build in three new Domain Controllers and sorted Firewall rules so that both machines gets security updates through WSUS, as we still use WSUS in my environment instead of SCCM

Problem factor:
Now instead of seeing three new DC's reporting, only pickup Two DC's reporting to WSUS
Out of the two DC's, what happens one day you will see reporting as DC05 and the following day it will report as DC WSUS,

My Troubleshooting:
i removed both two problematic machines from WSUS, the following day still one machine report and changed following day
I checked both computers GUID, they are not the same
Have tried other cleanups on both computers, but they still alternate where reporting to WSUS

Please assist if you have an idea

regards, Shakoane

    @shakoane
Thanks for your posting on Q&A.

Have you tried to Reindex the WSUS database? If not, it is recommended to do it as the below link:
    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/troubleshoot/mem/configmgr/wsus-maintenance-guide#reindex-the-wsus-database

Also we should try to decline and cleanup the Superseded updates. We could run the Server Cleanup Wizard to cleanup manually. Of course, we could run the following PowerShell script to finish it.
    Reference link:
    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/troubleshoot/mem/configmgr/wsus-maintenance-guide#decline-superseded-updates

Please review whether the issue stays while you have following the above steps.

Please feel free to inform me if there are any updates of the case.

Hope you have a great day.

    Best regards,
    Rita
