IMPORT Outlook Auto-Complete, while migrating from IMAP to Exchange Account

Hello, I am the NEW IT GUY at a non-profit - recently got the Office 365 non-profit free version.

Migrating Email from IMAP to Exchange - used the migration service to batch migrate IMAP emails - all users emails are migrated but when using a new Outlook profile with the EXCHANGE Account, the Auto-Complete Feature is BLANK - no suggestions, even for the same organization emails which are added.

Any way to scrape all previous emails and add the cache to outlook in some way ? to give people auto-complete facility ?

I think the online outlook.com is showing auto-complete for old migrated emails. - need to verify and check this as well at office in morning, just a hunch.

THANKS FOR YOUR TIME.

    The Auto-Complete cache will fill itself automatically as it is based on people you've emailed before.

    There has been a recent change (since Version 2110) which makes Outlook use the Global Address List as well for suggestions, whether you've emailed them before or not. That feature will become available in the Semi-Annual Channel in July.

    If you still want to go the route of migrating the Auto-Complete cache or filling it with addresses see;
    Backing up and restoring the AutoComplete cache of Outlook 2010, 2013, 2016, 2019 and Office 365
    and;
    Filling the Auto-Complete list with Contact addresses

    Hi @Zaid Pirwani ,
    Welcome to outr forum!

    According to my search, in situations where you’ve had a new Outlook profile created (such as migrating from using POP / IMAP email to Microsoft Exchange / Office 365) you will find the auto-complete data doesn’t move with your profile. The auto-complete cache can’t be moved in most cases as there is other hidden information also saved in the cache related to your account configuration.

    To copy the AutoComplete list, you can follow this official document: How to copy the AutoComplete list
