Hi i have a Word issue.

I have Windows 8.1 and Word 2016. When i open Word it works fine, but when i go to print tab is says that it is connecting to printer nonstop. i tried reinstalling printer drivers and i updated Windows. I also tried deleting Data Key in regedit and quiet a lot of stuff acutally. The printing works fine in Wordpad, Notepad or on Chrome, so i really don't know how to fix this issue. Anyone has any suggestion?

Thank you for the help.

Best regards,

Jure

    Hi @Jure Vidmar ,
Did Excel or other Office program have the same problem?
I suggest you go to Control Panel- Devices and Printers and check the default Printer is available, try to change the default printer to Microsoft XPS Document Writer and check the result.
You can also try to repair Office program: repair-an-office-application-7821d4b6-7c1d-4205-aa0e-a6b40c5bb88b
Try these methods and let me know the result, I'm glad to help you.

I have already tried changing the default printer and it does the same thing. I also tried connecting the printer to my laptop and on the laptop everything worked fine, so i assume it is a problem with the Word on the old computer. I can't get to it right now, so i will try to repair the Office with the link you provided in a few days.
    Thank you for the help.

Have you tried setting a PDF virtual printer (such as Microsoft Print to PDF) as the new default?
